- A slightly longer shock than stock can slightly alter fork launch angle and provide slightly faster handling.
- A slightly shorter shock than stock can slightly alter the fork launch angle and provide slightly slower handling.
- HD applications are recommended for motorcycles that are ridden at or near the manufacturer's maximum load capacity more than 50% of the time.
- Before purchasing or attempting to install shocks with different OEM length, confirm that total suspension travel can be altered without causing clearance issues such as swingarm/axle to exhaust contact as well as chain/belt guard contact.
