- A five-position lever-style spring preload adjuster allows you to easily adjust your ride
- Some or all of the specified shocks are road-legal. Consult the latest certificate for an up-to-date listing
- All shocks are measured from eye-to-eye center.
- When installing shocks on 1986-2015 XL models, it may be necessary to modify or space the chain/belt guard to allow proper clearance
- A slightly longer shock than stock may slightly alter the fork launch angle, providing somewhat quicker handling.
- A slightly shorter shock than stock may slightly alter the fork launch angle, providing somewhat slower handling.
- HD applications are recommended for motorcycles used at or near the manufacturer's maximum load capacity more than 50% of the time.
- Before purchasing or attempting to install shocks of different OEM length, confirm that the total suspension travel can be adjusted without causing clearance issues such as swingarm/exhaust contact, as well as possible interference with the rear tire.
