The KOBRA handguard kit from SW-Motech is specifically designed for the KTM 790 Adventure and KTM 790 Adventure R motorcycles, 2019 models. The closed aluminum structure, which is attached at two points of the handlebar's internal thread and on the handlebar itself, offers the rider protection in case of falls or rollovers. This guard, made of impact-resistant Moplen plastic, also protects against stone impacts and harsh weather conditions. The handlebar is secured using an internal thread of 6 mm/8 mm. The kit includes 2 KOBRA handguards, mounting material, and assembly instructions. It is important to mention that this kit is only compatible with the original handlebar.
In addition to the handguard kit, additional accessories are offered, such as the extension for the Kobra handguard from SW-Motech, which increases hand protection by almost 50%, at a price of €20.00. Specific LED lights can also be purchased to install on the Kobra handguard for €40.00, although they will require additional resistors that cost €15.00. Additionally, white LED lights and flashing LED lights are offered for installation on the handguard of the Barbusters VPS and Storm models, both at a price of €60.50, but with a current discount to €54.35.
